Owen Sound Gardens Welcomes New Stewards
IAM Local 1295 is proud to welcome two new workplace stewards at Owen Sound Gardens Retirement Residence following the successful organizing of the workplace by the IAM.
Tina Klerks has taken on the role of Chief Steward, while Maddy Fox will serve as Steward. Both recently participated in steward training to strengthen their skills and prepare to effectively represent their fellow members.
“As a newly organized workplace, the enthusiasm brought by Tina and Maddy to represent their members was inspiring to see. They came to the training seeking the knowledge to best represent their members,” said International Representative Derek Ferguson.
The appointment and training of new stewards marks an important step in building a strong foundation for member representation at Owen Sound Gardens Retirement Residence. Their commitment to learning and advocacy will help ensure members have informed and dedicated support in the workplace.
