IAM Local 712 Representatives Take Part in QFL Solidarity Funds Meeting
Representatives from IAM Local 712 participated in the Quebec Federation of Labour (QFL) Solidarity Funds meeting, where labour representatives gathered to discuss the Funds’ priorities, recent achievements, and role in supporting workers.
Through discussions and workshops, Local 712 representatives shared the perspectives of IAM members and explored key topics, including responsible investment, job creation and protection, and workers’ retirement security.
These exchanges help representatives better understand how the Funds operate and how members’ savings contribute to Québec’s economy, allowing them to share this information with members.
During the annual general meeting of shareholders, participants also voted to elect four members to the Board of Directors. The following candidates, all from the labour movement, were elected: Anouk Collet, Loïc Breton, Sylvie Nelson, and Éric Gingras.
Thank you to all Local 712 shareholders who took the time to vote. Your participation helps strengthen the labour movement’s voice on the Board of Directors and ensures that members’ interests are represented.
