Aramark Workers Secure Wage Increases and New Benefits in New Contract
Members of the Aramark cafeteria unit at Bombardier and Airbus, represented by IAM Union Local 712, have voted in favour of a new three-year collective agreement with 95% support.
The new contract delivers several important gains for the unit’s 45 members, including wage increases, new premiums and benefits, and improved workplace protections.
Key gains include:
1 – Annual wage increases of 3%, retroactive to April 12, 2026.
2 – A new renewable 40-hour time bank.
3 – A service recognition bonus of $10 per year of service, paid annually on July 1.
4 – Enhanced protections for pregnant and breastfeeding workers, with the employer agreeing to accommodate duties and/or accept preventive leave.
5 – A new $1-per-hour premium for all hours worked between midnight and 6 a.m.
6 – A $500 signing bonus for members.
Negotiations were led by District 11 Business Representative Étienne Trottier-Zalums, who recognized the important contribution of Kim Geseron, Shop and Grievances President, throughout the bargaining process.
“Kim did an excellent job making sure that the members’ demands were heard and respected by the employer,” said Trottier-Zalums.
The 45 members of the Aramark unit provide cafeteria services at Bombardier facilities in Dorval and the Saint-Laurent borough of Montréal, as well as at Airbus Canada in Mirabel.
Congratulations to the members of Local 712 on securing these gains in their new collective agreement!
