Local 386 Members Ratify New Agreement
IAM members of Local 386 employed at Hobart Food Equipment Group Canada in Owen Sound, Ontario, have ratified a new Collective Agreement, securing important improvements to wages, benefits and working conditions.
The new agreement includes general wage increases in each year of the agreement, along with improvements to pension, health and welfare benefits and other provisions that strengthen members’ overall working conditions.
The negotiating committee, comprised of Travis Higgs, Troy Middleton and Todd Batterman, worked together throughout the bargaining process to secure an agreement that addressed the priorities and needs of the membership.
IAM International Representative Derek Ferguson recognized the committee’s dedication and solidarity, thanking them for their commitment to achieving a better agreement for their fellow members. “A special thanks to the three strong individuals on the committee who worked together through the entire bargaining process for the betterment of their members,” said Ferguson.
Congratulations to the members of Local 386 and the negotiating committee on this achievement!
